York Women Mean Business - Christmas Online MPWR Networking Event Dec 2023

At MPWR Business Club our mission is to help businesswomen along the path to success. Whatever that success looks like!

Networking that really works

Our online networking meetings might be a little different to what you are used to. There’s no dress code, there’s no awkward 60 second intros and pitches. It’s relaxed and sociable with lots of chatting and getting to know like-minded businesswomen.

So grab a cuppa, some lunch too if you like, and join us in what we do best.

The magic of MPWR Connect:

Just because we are more relaxed than other networks, it doesn’t mean you won’t get results. Quite the opposite, like everything, the more you put in, the more you will get from it, and making those great connections is what it’s all about.

We don’t have rules or requirements as such, there is no expectation on you to come with a list of referrals or a rehearsed pitch. We just want you to show up and meet lots of like-minded businesswomen and actally get to know each other.

Why it works:

When you are getting to really know someone, and you start to like each other, forming that real connection, you remember them. Even if the person you are chatting with never even needs/buys what you offer, they will recommend you, and they will do so time and time again!

The format of online networking goes something like this:

• Our waiting room will be open 5 mins prior to the start time for you to get logged in and all set up.
• Your host will welcome you all and then you will be put into breakout rooms, in small groups for 10/15 minutes or so.
• When in the breakout rooms simply chat to one another and ask questions. Yes, tell everyone what you do but keep it really short, so you have plenty of time to talk about other things, just like you would if we were face to face networking.
• Towards the end of each session you’ll see an on screen notification telling you that you are about to be whizzed into another break out room to chat with someone new or that we are coming back tobether
• Part way through we will come back together for some Christmasy fun and games
• After a quick comfort break it’s back to networking till we come to the end of our time together

That’s it.

We don’t mind what you look like that day(Christmas jumpers are optional :0) or if your cat/dog/kids want to pop and say hi. That’s real life and it’s all ok.
