To celebrate the New Year, we open with a double-bill featuring the music of Brahms. Our co-Music Director, David Greed, swaps the baton for his violin to perform the glorious Violin Concerto, conducted by Anthony Kraus.
This is followed in the second half with Brahms’ Symphony No. 2, the most uplifting of his symphonic works that mixes pastoral melodies with triumphant themes that race to an ecstatic climax.
