Swedish heavy metal band, Sabaton, has launched ‘History Rocks’, a worldwide museum project. At the centre of this global charity initiative stands the band’s new animated film, ‘The War To End All Wars – The Movie’.
Developed in partnership with Yarnhub Animation Studios, the film vividly tells the First World War tales from Sabaton’s most recent studio album, ‘The War To End All Wars’. It will be screened by participating museums around the world in the two weeks surrounding Armistice Day on11 November, 2023.
The goal of this project is to encourage more people to visit their local museums and take an interest in history.
Founded in 1999 in Falun, Sweden, Sabaton is a five-piece band that is recognised for its fact-based music about important points in history.
Following years of hard work and research, the rock band has created ‘The War To End All Wars – The Movie’ in partnership with Yarnhub, an animation studio focused on historical content. This is a 67-minute long musical motion picture which is being released in English, but will be made available with subtitles in a number of languages to cater to audiences around the world.
The screening of “The War To End All Wars – The Movie” will be a perfect opportunity for people to learn more about this crucial part of history and reflect on the sacrifices made by those who fought in the war.
Sabaton is a very motivated band that wants to give back to society by promoting education and history. Over the years, the group has collaborated with a number of individual museums. Now, following the making of this movie, the band strongly believes that it is more meaningful for it to be screened in museums spanning the globe than in cinemas, as this is an environment where Sabaton fans would really want to experience it.
