Poetry Place presents 'Rhythm And Poetry' 50yrs of Hip Hop

The Poetry Place is celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop by hosting the first of its kind ‘Rhythm and Poetry’ event, a night of iconic rap music from every era, infused with live Poetry and Rap from some of the countries best performers.

We will take you on a journey through the inception of hip hop and rap music and its iconic pioneers, until its current art form.

Hosted by Griot Gabriel, we will have handpicked rappers and poets well versed with their pen game to honour those hwo have paved the way for a culture and sound that has been a major force in the world, We will also have DJ Kweezus spinning the decks on the night.
