Batik Workshop with Soleil Dee

In this new workshop you will work with an artist to design and create your own textile pieces.£35 per person – includes all materials and light refreshments included. Please be aware there is a lunch break in this workshop but lunch in not provided.

APPROX TIMINGS OF WORKSHOP

10.15 – Arrival and refreshments

10.30 – 10.40 – Start & introduction to me & materials/ what we’re doing today

10.40 – 11.00 – Up to gallery spaces for sketching idea development

11.00 – 11.30 – Batik One waxing (small taster piece on cotton)

11.30 – 12.15: Tea towel or tote bag waxing

12.15 – 13.00: Lunch (this gives the fabric time to take the dye) participants are welcome to do smaller pieces too

13.00 – 13.30: Hand Painting their taster piece with inks we have in the ed suite and letting their main one dry
